De 73-jarige cabaretier en muzikant geeft in zijn voorstelling &lsquo;In mijn liedjes kan ik wonen&rsquo; het publiek een uniek inkijkje in zijn inspiratiebronnen. Hij onthult de verhalen en emoties die schuilgaan achter zijn uitgebreide muzikale oeuvre. Hij stelt zichzelf constant de vraag of hij zijn eerdere werk kan evenaren of overtreffen. Deze innerlijke strijd maakt het creatieproces uitdagender, maar tegelijkertijd ziet hij het als een onmisbare drijfveer om door te blijven gaan. Hij is zich bewust van de fysieke en mentale belasting die <a href=\"https:\/\/www.startpagina.nl\/blog\/youp-van-t-hek-na-black-out-wakker-gelegen-afscheid-nabij\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">het theaterleven<\/a> met zich meebrengt, vooral op zijn leeftijd. Toch kan hij niet ontkennen dat het podium een magische plek voor hem blijft. Na vier jaar van uitverkochte zalen met &lsquo;Achter de duinen&rsquo;, is het publiek opnieuw enthousiast over zijn comeback. Naast zijn eigen nummers zal Harrie ook liedjes van andere artiesten ten gehore brengen die een belangrijke rol in zijn jeugd hebben gespeeld. Zijn solovoorstelling &lsquo;Achter de duinen&rsquo; trok toen tienduizenden bezoekers. Als blijk van waardering werd het ronde pleintje voor de Koninklijke Schouwburg omgedoopt tot het &lsquo;Harrie Jekkersplein&rsquo;, een bijzondere eer voor de cabaretier.
